PB & J Superfood Smoothie
I wish I could grow out of the stage where I crave a peanut butter and jelly sandwich every day, but... I crave a peanut butter and jelly sandwich literally everyday. The good thing is that school sandwiches aren't the only way to enjoy the this combo. To add a bit more nutrients into this classic duo of PB & J, I decided to turn this old time favorite into a smoothie. Although nothing beats the original recipe aka "sandwich style", adding kale and flax seeds added a ton of vitamins, minerals, and extra protein. I hope this recipe satisfies your tastebuds!
Strawberries, 10 (fresh or frozen)
Banana, 1/2 of one
Cashew milk, 1.5 cups
Peanut butter, 2 to 3 heaping tbsp (Use PB2 or regular peanut butter)
Vanila protein, 1/2 scoop (optional)
Cinnamon, two dashes
Salt, a pinch
Ground flax seeds, 1 tbsp.
Ice cubes, 4
Add a bit of water if necessary
